Hi Webby! Yes! I love, love Moosewood. And from what I know of Nourishing Traditions, I like it. I like Real Food by Nina Planck, and Michael Pollan’s stuff, and I kind of try to adopt the healthier attitude toward eating/drinking that I encountered in Europe. (For example, my French friend who insists that a little chocolate is GOOD FOR YOU and that coffee WITH CREAM should be had with baguettes and really good jam every morning.) “Health food”? Not exactly. But it’s REAL food–real butter, freshly baked bread, jam made from actual fruit (imagine!) partaken of with such relish, gratitude, and moderation that it’s healthier in a way that is (to my mind) bigger and better.

Are you a fan of Nourishing Traditions or any of the Moosewood Cookbooks?

I have to agree that real food is still safer and healthier for you but in moderation.
