So by whining about my root canal and vaccinations yesterday, I forgot to celebrate what would have been Julia Child’s 100th birthday!
I love watching Julia Child. My kids even love watching Julia Child. She cooks with such passion and joy, and she’s so comfortable with herself. If you aren’t familiar with The French Chef or her later cooking shows, you should be. She can teach you to cook. And she’s an inspiring woman. (I loved this book.)
And just for fun:
“Cooking is like love; it should be entered into with abandon or not at all”
~Julia C.
{happy birthday, Julia. Thanks for the inspiration!}
Love the video! (I posted it at the Republic of Pemberley a couple days ago and it was well appreciated there too.) Did you see the ones they did for Bob Ross (the PBS painter show guy) and Mr. Rogers? Those are fun too. I think, of the three, the one on Bob Ross was best.
whee! loved this. also: loved the article up this week on Her.meneutics. you’re a brave soul!
